Cajelais leads as GBP20 000 buy-in event approaches its climax

The final table of eight casino players has been decided in the PokerStars European Poker Tour High-Roller Event, with French Canadian pro and WSOPE bracelet winner Erik Cajelais holding the chip lead having bagged 893 000 in casino gambling chips overnight.

The final table make-up looks like this:

At stake is the GBP 542 000 main casino game prize generated by the substantial buy-in of GBP 20 000 levied on each of the 75 original players.

Second day play ended relatively early in the evening as the 31 survivors were whittled down to the final 8 players.

Big name casualties include Alex Kravchenko, Humberto Brenes, Joe Hachem, William Thorson, Dario Minieri and Vicky Coren.
